PoeiOei is a cross cultural brand that derives from a Chinese Indonesian family heritage and tradition, also known as
“Peranakan” culture. Our products are highly inspired by our family collection of chinese indonesian batik tulis.
Our designers carefully hand picked vintage Batik Tulis that are originally used for table cloths, bed covers, and pillow cases, etc. these were extremely popular back in the 60s. (I’m sure you can easily spot them randomly in your childhood photos).
Today with our style conscious generation have long forgotten these beautiful patterns, peeking through a stack of old table cloths and worn out pillows collecting dust in granny’s attic. Our designer decided to pull them out and have them revamp with the 21st century way. Taking these homely things out and about.
By collaborating our batik and genuine napa leather (also produced locally), we have created a variety of eclectic carrying cases suitable for the young and old. Each of these beauties are designed to mould and function with all the items you carry everyday like its own home, may that be your Ipod, mobile phone, make up, etc.
With our high quality handcrafted product, we hope to put content in our local pop culture, by bringing back our inheritance.
